Bahl to finish UW-Bothell's CSS Speaker Series | Events

UW-Bothell's Computing and Software Systems Speaker Series will finish up on Tuesday night, as one of Microsoft's top researchers will be the series' keynote speaker.
Dr. Victor Bahl will speak at 5:45 p.m. at the North Creek Events Center. His speech is titled "Owning the Problem in Wireless Research - An Exploration of Some Case Studies", as he will talk about recent rulings to open unused television frequencies, called white spaces, for unlicensed use. He will talk about the issues that will make white space networking the next frontier for wireless Internet.
Dr. Bahl is a Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research in Redmond and a founding manager of the Networking Research Group. He is responsible for directing research designed to push the state-of-the-art in the networking of devices and systems.
