A 13-year-old boy has been rushed to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition after being hit by a car east of the intersection of Bothell Way and Main Street Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. The car was travelling east on Bothell Way when witnesses say it went through a red light at the intersection at Main, left the street, hit a power pole and then hit the child, who was riding a razor scooter with two friends.
It is estimated that the boy was tossed at least 20 feet by the impact. The car also hit a bike that belonged to a second boy, but he was unhurt.
