"Cup Cake in a Can" wins UWB's Hell Night contest | Business
(l-r) Martin Yanagihara, Kelsey Dill, Tylor Jones, Lisa Pesin
So, would you buy "Cup Cake in a Can"? Enough people thought they would to make it a winning idea at UW-Bothell's 9th Annual Hell Night.
The event is a entrepreneurship contest where students present their business ideas to members of the public, complete with business plans and proposals. It leads to a lot of all-nighters for team members, helping with the name.
For the first time, the winning team were all freshmen. Kelsey Dill, Tylor Jones, Lisa Pesin and Martin Yanagihara teamed up for the idea of "Cup Cake in a Can", which is a dual-sided, dual-nozzle, CO2 compressed aerosol can that dispenses cupcake batter from one side and frosting from the other. It also contains lids that contains sprinkles and a built-in baking tin container.
Cup cakes from a can? It may be an idea whose time has come.
