UW-Bothell turns 20 and you're invited to a party | Events
It's a big day on Saturday on the UW-Bothell campus, as the school will be celebrating its 20th birthday with a number of events crammed into four hours.
The 20th Year Celebration will go from 12-4 on the campus, and there's going to be music, lectures, tours, food, activities for kids, pictures with UWB mascot Holly the Husky and much more.
Things kick off at noon with a ceremony featuring UW President Mark Emmert, UW-Bothell Chancellor Kenyon Chan, Bothell Mayor Mark Lamb and other dignitaries. The schedule after that is:
- 12:30-1 - Meet and greet with UWB faculty
- 12:30-2 - BBQ
- 1, 2 & 3 p.m. - speeches from UWB faculty
- 1-4 - Live music, alumni networking, guided wetlands tours, self-guided library tours, presentations on the campus master plan, guided campus tours, bouncy house, face painting and games for kids, pictures with Holly Husky and Ledo the Husky dog
There will also be the 5th Annual UW-Bothell 5K Run/Walk starting at 9 a.m. You can still register online or starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
It's a day to celebrate and have fun at UW-Bothell, and it's open to everyone.
