Veterans attending UW Bothell have new organization | Schools

The University of Washington Bothell campus now has a Student Veterans of American chapter.

UW Bothell announced last week that the school’s Student Veterans Association had cleared all the hurdled involved in becoming an official chapter.

“Returning to an educational environment can be a challenging experience for a veteran. The Student Veterans Association at UW Bothell provides a welcoming culture, networking opportunities and support activities through a living network of student veterans,” faculty advisor Rosa Lundberg said in a news release.

The chapter’s primary mission is to provide support to students who have served in the US armed forces, according to the school.
