UW-Bothell's business program joins an elite group | Schools
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
A week after announcing record enrollment at the university, UW-Bothell has something else to celebrate.
The business degree program at UWB has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The organization is a global accrediting group that evaluates business schools around the world. To get accredited, a school must pass 21 standards relating to such items as management of resources, achievement of goals, faculty qualifications and faculty/student interaction.
UW-Bothell is now one of 633 business schools worldwide, and one of ten in Washington, to get the AACSB seal of approval. That list includes the main University of Washington campus in Seattle and its fellow branch campus, UW-Tacoma. It's also less than five percent of all the business schools around the globe, which is an elite group to belong in.
Not bad for a university just over 20 years old.
